Conferences
Conferences are held in a classroom setting and can cover a number of topics. Geneviève is an experienced speaker who is just as comfortable in a small group setting as she is in front of a large crowd. Over the last 40 years, her curiosity and passion have led her to acquire extensive all-around knowledge of horses and horsemanship, with a focus on natural methods of training and management.
She is available for speaking engagements at events, expos, seminars and symposiums, or by private contract.
Geneviève’s Signature Talks
Discover how to read your horse’s mind and become an effective leader for your equine partner
This conference will present the basic principles of love, language and leadership in equal doses. You will learn the importance of reading the horse correctly and effectively… and of responding appropriately to what your horse is telling you! It will help you develop a language and strategies to help you advance and to achieve the breakthroughs you have been looking for in your relationship with your horse.
We will be sharing expert knowledge on how to read your horse better, how to detect the subtle signs, how to establish a better dialogue. You will learn how to assess the unique temperament of your horse with the help of the revolutionary Horsenality™ model. You will learn where to be, when to be, how to be, what to do when you get there and when to quit doing what you are doing. You will get an opportunity to map out your horse’s unique Horsenality™ and to practice your ‘reading’ and language skills with hands-on exercises. Most importantly, you will learn how to help your horse become more centered, more in control of his emotions, calmer, more trusting, more motivated and more willing.
We will cover:
- The prey/predator gap
- The horse’s key motivators
- Why love, language and leadership are all equally important
- The horse’s body language
- Assessing your horse’s unique temperament with the Horsenality™ model
- The needs and key motivating factors of each Horsenality™
- Why fear and lack of trust can hide the true nature of your horse
- Examples of real horses and the evolution of their development based on Horsenality™
- How to apply the Parelli 7 Games to your particular horse
- How to adapt the way you play to your horse’s unique Horsenality™

This is an interactive workshop and you will get lots of opportunity to ask questions!
The Natural Horse Basics: Feeding, Social Interaction, Living Environment, Husbandry
Are you looking for products, services and ideas to optimize the well-being of equines, while respecting their true nature?
The Natural Horse is an organic extension of the services already offered by VifArgent Horsemanship which simply came into being as a result of Geneviève’s evolving vision and natural approach to horses.
During the course of numerous interactions with students, more often than not we find ourselves answering questions about equine health and management, and people want to know how Geneviève cares for her own. Her mares are great examples of vibrant, healthy horses despite an intensive training schedule and the numerous long distance trips that are part of their semi-nomadic lifestyle. Over the years, Geneviève has evolved towards a natural approach to feeding and caring for horses, and spent much time educating herself with top specialists to get there, continuously striving to implement a best practices approach aligned with the true needs of the horse. She is now pleased to be able to share this knowledge with a greater number of horse lovers who are looking for solutions suited to the horse’s nature, and wish to learn about a horse management system being tested on a daily basis by a professional on her own horses.
This starter workshop will allow you to discover the principles of natural horse management. The equine industry is growing and it is often difficult to sort through the overwhelming amount of information circulating on products, feed, and care alternatives, some of which are being hailed as absolute truth. The horse world is also riddled with myth and tradition which have been passed on through the generations, but may not have kept pace with the latest scientific information on equines, or are not always aligned with the true nature and key needs of the horse.
Our objective is to pave the way to new ways of thinking about your equine partner’s needs and feedback, and to point you in the direction of alternative, often less costly options that contribute to optimizing the horse’s mental and physical health. You do not always have to spend a fortune on multiple products and feed to have a horse sound in mind and body! More importantly, you can learn to choose wisely when you have the knowledge to make an informed decision and cultivate an open and curious mind. Your horse will thank you for it!
We will cover:
- Why we launched The Natural Horse as the result of our passion for horses
- The horse’s nature
- The basic needs of the horse
- Feeding horses like horses
- Living environment and social interaction
- Mental well-being
- With or without shoes?
- The natural first aid kit
- What about human interaction, can it be natural?
This is an interactive workshop and you will get lots of opportunity to ask questions!
We will also present a few carefully selected solutions, should you need them.
Every product mentioned has been approved by Geneviève Benoit, who uses it in the course of her daily care for her own horses.
