I found Geneviève by chance.  She was offering a special offer on video coaching for a year and I thought it was a good offer; but I never though I’d get so much out of it.  I just took it because it was a good offer and WOW, the improvements we made were nothing less then astonishing!  We moved on so quick.  I put the time, effort and try in and Geneviève gave me her time, experience and guidance, and it worked so well.  I’m indebted to Geneviève; she gave me the partnership I have today, and will always be a student of hers, even if I make it to becoming a Parelli Professional. I owe her where I am now.

New arrow:  video coach. OMG! Video coaching has never interested me.  Not one IOTA.  I assumed that I would need to drive the experience. “Look at X and tell me what to do.” But, instead, I was told what to tape. In 10 minutes, I could not do one-half the tasks but posted what I could do.  I dreaded the copious email I was sure to receive.  But, instead, we met on Skype.  I scribbled notes and was given some ‘homework’.  Very pleasant, actually.  AND IT WORKED.  My send actually works when I move my leg into either 4 o’clock or 8 o’clock positions (I didn’t know I was blocking my horse).

I would like to say thank you for the lesson today and for all year. I have got more out of video coaching then I could have imagined. You have helped me get more imaginative and motivated, gave me hope and confidence and showed me how to have fun. Love it, thank you so much   I look forward to being your student for another year.

As we enter our 5th year of Parelli, I’m looking back on huge achievements during the 4th. Video lessons with Geneviève Benoit made a huge difference in my relationship with Zaina; we achieved Level 2 freestyle – the dream that started this journey; my high spirited RBE Arabian has been named ‘calmest quarter horse in the barn’!

We are level 4 online graduates with my mare Fany now! I’m so happy! It has really tested my tenacity to overcome two previous failures on that audition, it has taken us two years. I’m so grateful to Geneviève Benoit, my instructor, for her precious advice and for her support. I play alone with my horse at home and it was not always easy. I’ve learned a lot about the required subtlety for L4 (what a phase 1 is, what neutral means, the silence between the notes, the importance of the friendly game and the feeling of a relaxed and confident horse). Fany enjoyed her well-deserved extra bonus of carrots this morning!

What a treat it was to have 3 Star Parelli Instructor Geneviève Benoit stay at my farm for a bit. I fully enjoyed all our horsey conversations and am most thankful for the time she gave me in a lesson with Sam on line and at liberty.  It wasn’t our first and hopefully not the last.  She has a keen eye and her knowledge of the Parelli program is topnotch but her ability to teach and explain is just as valuable to my style of learning. My horse and I are most grateful!

I just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful experience at the camp last week. Even though there were unexpected issues, you handled everything so very well and displayed great grace under pressure. My friend and I both agreed that we had a wonderful experience – I can’t see how it could have been any better with the weather being what it was.  I’ll keep an eye on what else you have coming up – I’d love to do another camp or clinic with you anytime.

Thank you for all your help. I think you spent to entire time coaching me. You are a wonderful teacher. I learned so much this weekend. I knew all the Parelli Instructors would be great with horses. I did not know you would be so great with the human. You don’t make the horse or the human feel wrong. It made learning really enjoyable. I was really happy with my horse Joy. Now I can see with more work on my Parelli journey, Joy will bloom into an outstanding horse/partner. Thank you again.
