Ask about Hosting a Course

Who Should Host a Course?

You may be a good host if you are a:

  • barn owner;
  • barn manager;
  • riding coach;
  • trainer;
  • equestrian club organizer;
  • association representative;
  • rescue facility;
  • horse owner with access to a suitable facility;
  • group of horse friends who want to learn together.

Hosting a course is a meaningful way to bring practical education to your barn community.

It also shows your clients, students, members or boarders that horse welfare and safety matter.

Host Facility Requirements

Courses are offered only at hosting facilities. VifArgent Horsemanship does not currently operate from a home teaching facility.

Host requirements will be discussed during the discovery call and may vary depending on the course, group size, audience, and season.

In general, host facilities should provide:

  • a suitable classroom or learning space for the theory portion;
  • a climate-controlled space whenever possible;
  • power access for a laptop and monitor;
  • Wi-Fi access, preferred but not always required;
  • a safe area out of the weather for hands-on practice, such as a barn aisle, indoor arena or covered area;
  • suitable demonstration horses, to be discussed based on the audience, number of participants and course format;
  • safe access to washrooms and parking;
  • coordination of participant logistics.

All participants must sign a VifArgent Horsemanship liability waiver before the course begins. Paperwork will be provided in advance for convenience.

Group Size

Minimum and maximum numbers depend on the location, course duration, and format.

As a general guideline:

  • Minimum: usually 5 participants;
  • Maximum: up to 25 participants, depending on facility suitability, and course format.

Smaller private groups may be possible by arrangement.

Pricing

Please contact Geneviève for current pricing and host options.

Special rates may be available for:

  • families;
  • rescue facilities;
  • selected group bookings.

Hosts may also benefit from one or two complimentary participant spots, depending on the number of attendees and the booking arrangement.
